The Amelia 2022

"The Amelia," as it's now known, is my annual getaway, my ultimate indulgence, and an experience that keeps getting better year after year. My trip this time around felt less like something I was attending, and more like something I was arriving at to be a part of.

Between my participation in Radwood, the unfettered access of Media Credentials courtesy of Caffeine & Octane, and the audacious confidence that came with feeling so familiar and comfortable with my favorite place, this is the first time I've felt so involved & present in something I do for fun.

This trip was not without its hiccups. My camera lens broke early on during the trip, but my magnificent friends were right behind me with a spare camera. I'm not as experienced with a full frame DSLR, but I'm excited to share what I did manage to capture. Also, with so much going on, I didn't spend nearly as much time taking as many photos as I typically do, but in terms of adapting and improvising, I'm sure there's plenty of good stuff in there.

I always have a good time at Amelia Island, and this year it really felt like I was being welcomed back. From a convoy of cool cars making the drive down, to a perfect place to rest our heads by the beach, to all of the friends I made and reconnected with, and all of the adoration my 968 received, this was truly a year of comfort and belonging. I felt like I could go anywhere, do anything, and be everything - and that's exactly what I did.

It only gets better from here.
